CheersUp ("we," "us," or "our") operates the CalcMyAlc mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Data Collection and Local Storage
CalcMyAlc is designed to respect your privacy. To calculate your Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC), the app requires you to input physical metrics, including your weight, height, age, and gender, as well as your drink consumption history.
All personal metrics and consumption history are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit, store, or process this sensitive health data on our external servers. Because this data remains on your device, deleting the app or clearing app data in Android settings will permanently delete this information.
2. Third-Party Services
While we do not sell or store your personal health data on external servers, the app utilizes limited third-party services to facilitate features and improve app performance:
- OpenFoodFacts API: If you use the barcode scanning feature to look up a drink, the app sends the scanned barcode number to the OpenFoodFacts public database to retrieve the drink's name, volume, and alcohol percentage. No personal user metrics or device identifiers are sent alongside this request.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Because your personal health and consumption data is strictly stored locally on your device, we do not have access to it, and therefore we do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to outside parties.
4. Children's Privacy
CalcMyAlc is intended strictly for users who are 18 years of age or older (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has accessed the Service, please contact us so we can take appropriate measures.
5. Medical and Safety Disclaimer
CalcMyAlc provides BAC estimations based on established mathematical formulas (including the Widmark formula). This app is for informational and entertainment purposes only. It is not a breathalyzer, and its estimations should never be used to determine if you are legally or physically fit to drive, operate machinery, or perform any tasks. Always drink responsibly and never drink and drive.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
